DONBASS, Ukraine - Units of the Ukrainian army over past 24 hour 27 times violated ceasefire as they shelled settlements in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) along the line of engagement, The Donetsk People's Republic’s (DPR) command said on Saturday that the Ukrainian military violated the ceasefire in a 24 hour period.

The violations came as they shelled settlements and positions along the line of engagement.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces 27 times violated ceasefire in the past 24 hours," the Donetsk news agency said.

"They used mortars, grenade launchers and small arms," the report continued.

16 different compounds in the republic were targeted by the Ukrainian military.
